The KDE on Windows Initiative is an ongoing project to port the KDE applications to MS Windows. You can KDE softwares in a normal KDE environment by KDE-Installer, a graphical network-based installer.
- Download the installer http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/installer/kdewin-installer-gui-latest.exe
Installation InstructionsThe installation is rather easy, for average users, just use the default selections. Make sure Internet connection is enabled.
choose the KDE4 installation directory
choose the download path
choose the sever closest to you
here shows releases, choose the latest stable 4.5.4
this step is the most important, choose the apps you wanna try, select all is recommended ;) they support for multi-languages
Now, you can run KDE softwares just from your start menu :)
