Here are two tiny softwares to help you check if your CPU ( or Windows) is 32-bit or 64-bit. The first is 64bit Checker,

Features

shows if your computer is running a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows
detects whether your processor supports a 64bit operating systems (if you are not sure that you can install 64bit operating system on your computer)
copy report information to clipboard, or save in text or html file
