Google Web Clipboard Extension For Chrome

Google Chrome IconImage via Wikipedia
Web Clipboard is a new Google's official Chrome extension. It uses the Google Docs feature to bring a synced clipboard to Chrome, so you can access all your data directly in Google Apps.

This extension allows you to copy and paste text and images (store text and HTML content) online -- even if you’re going from one window to another. Once you’ve intalled the extension, it will work on every new page opened (or refreshed).
Clicking on the extension's icon will list all the items currently stored in the clipboard.

It's easy to use, to copy something, first select it on the page, then click on the icon and select "Copy selection to web clipboard". To paste an item, select the field to the content to on your webpage, click on the icon and select the item.

Some known Issues:
  • Once the extension is installed, it will only work on newly opened pages (or you can refresh the page)
  • The extension does not work with pages containing frames.
  • Gmail is not supported.
As it is an official Google extension, I think the bugs will be fixed quickly.

Note: Content you copy to the server clipboard is stored on Google's servers and remains there until 30 days have passed since you last action.
